In the past 32 years, we have had 4 'long term' houseboys, staying between 2 and 5 years. We have had 6 'short term' houseboys as well. We knew upfront that each of the short term boys just needed 6 months to 1 year to get back on their feet. All of these boys worked out well. Now, for the bad part...we always have a potential boy stay for a week so the we can interview him properly. This way we found out who the druggies, alcoholics, liars, etc. were. The absolute worst one was the boy in a few other topics on here who went by MaxDyer23, MaxDyer24, JohnConner, etc. He is back on here with two separate profiles, however he is not smart enough, as has been pointed out by another employer, to have listed different cities or to not check one profile right after the other so that they are not sequential. Oh yes, we know him well. About 4 years ago, he went by MaxDyer23 (or something like that). We did have him visit us when we lived in South Carolina. After talking for weeks, we bought him a round trip plane ticket for 7 days. After day 2, we sent him home. He then made a new profile, MaxDyer24 (or something like that) to try to hook someone else. LOTS of stories about him...we should have written a book! He may turn on the Southern Gentleman charm, but he is far from it. Avoid him like the Plague!

Hey Buck52, this is such a good site. We have had wonderful luck with some great boys. Unfortunately there are a number of boys who are scammers, and a number of 'masters' listing their boys here for sale.

Now he's back as both gymjock93 and gymguy23. Believe us, he is neither of his screen names.

Once you get his real name, It's easy to check him out. I do know iambronson is legitimate, but he is NOT in Myrtle Beach...another one who won't update his location.

The background check still doesn't let you know everything (like being an alcoholic), but if the boy immediately says no way to a background check, avoid him like The Plague! Good Luck!

If you find the right houseboy, it is a very rewarding experience. Over the past 30 years, we had 4 long term (4+ years) houseboys who were gems. We also had several short term (few months up to 2 years) houseboys who just needed some place to stay to get back on their feet. We still keep in touch with them all and it is very rewarding to know we helped them all in life. Please don't give up...just be very cautious and background check them before they visit.

And Another Thing... Watch out for repeat posters who use their same pics but change their name and repost every week or so. One just did so yesterday. We had him here for a visit and not because we didn't get along, we sent him home VERY early because he is just a loser. He didn't want to do anything except look at himself in a mirror and tell us how smart he was. He also claimed to be a porn star, a drag queen, and a model...what a joke!

BeWithUs, We never had this much trouble finding a good, reliable, HONEST houseboy as we have this past 2 years. Whenever a houseboy graduated college and decided to leave, we'd have quite a few boys to interview. Now, they all have demands and want everything but don't want to do anything to earn it. Two houseboys we recently wrote to indicated after a while that they were not in the locations they listed. One listed Florida but is actually in Iowa. In addition to this, a lot of houseboys don't update other items in their profiles. No one can force them to enter the correct information, but we just wanted to blow off a little steam.
