His closets, and wardrobe kept in order, his bathing chambers in readiness, his linens and sleeping chambers always presentable and comfortable. He is to handle all things that bring calmness, confidence and order to his man's private life. It would be no ones business what intimate relations, if any, were ever to develop between the Valet and his Employer.
